Two-time All-America joins the Crimson staff
Cambridge, MA-Jared Frayer, a two-time All-America
from the University of Oklahoma, has been named an assistant coach
with the Harvard wrestling program. He replaces Bryan Snyder on
the Crimson staff.
"We are very excited to have Jared Frayer as
a member of our staff," said Harvard head coach Jay Weiss.
"He is an accomplished wrestler with big time experience
who will help elevate our wrestlers to even higher levels during
the upcoming season."
Frayer, a 2002 graduate of Oklahoma with a B.S.
in Education, was a four-year starter for the Sooners. He was
a four-time NCAA Tournament qualifier, earning All-America honors
in 2001 and again in 2002 after reaching the finals. Frayer received
the Wade Shalls Award given to the nation's top pinner and is
currently second on Oklahoma's all-time pins list and third on
the all-time wins list. A two-time Academic All-Big XII, Frayer
was also a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Board from 2000-2002.

out of Countryside High School and captured the 1997 Junior National
title. He has worked at various camps and is a member of the Dave
Schults Wrestling Club.
Harvard finished 25th in the NCAA Tournament last
season and returns an All-America and top-ranked wrestler at 149
lbs. in Jessie Jantzen. The Crimson also boasts the #7 recruiting
class in the country and will kick off the season at the East
Stroudsburg Invitational on Nov. 22. The home schedule opens with
a bout against Lehigh on Jan. 21 and also includes matches against
Lehigh, East Stroudsburg, Princeton, Penn and Army.
